Upon arrival, you'll be dazzled by the beauty of the streets of this town, which still preserves Inca and colonial architecture, surrounded by agricultural terraces and a wide variety of native flora. At the top of the archaeological site, our guide will explain the importance of the ceremonial temples and, above all, the terraces used by the Inca culture for cultivation, which make Pisaq an extraordinary place. After the explanation, you'll have time to take photos before returning to our transport and heading to our next destination.
Next, we'll travel to Moray, located 1 hour and 30 minutes from the town of Pisaq, a unique archaeological site that served as an Inca agricultural laboratory. Its impressive circular terraces were used to experiment with microclimates and crops, making this place the center of Inca agriculture. Here, we'll have time to take photos at the viewpoints before continuing our journey to the Maras salt mines, located 10 minutes away by car. Upon arriving in Maras, we'll see a complex of more than 3,000 salt ponds that are still harvested using ancient techniques, creating a breathtaking landscape amidst the mountains. This will be a great spot for taking photos and also for trying the famous pink salt.
Afterward, we'll continue to Urubamba, where we'll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch made with typical regional products. After lunch, we'll head to the majestic fortress of Ollantaytambo, located 30 minutes from the town of Urubamba, one of the most impressive constructions of the Inca Empire, famous for its military, religious, and agricultural architecture.
