Day 1Mountain of Colors Pallay Punchu

Our team will pick you up very early from your accommodation in Cusco, between 4:30 and 5:00 AM, to head to Pacchanta, a community located at over 4,200 meters above sea level, the starting point of the circuit. The journey takes approximately 3 hours, and upon arrival, a typical Andean breakfast prepared by the locals will be waiting for you.

The hike to the lagoons begins in Pacchanta and lasts approximately 4 to 5 hours in total (round trip), with breaks and stops for taking photos. The route is of moderate difficulty, with some ascents and descents, but the effort is rewarded with unique landscapes such as the snow-capped Ausangate mountain surrounded by alpacas, vicuñas, turquoise lagoons, and Andean vegetation. After completing the hike, you can relax in the Pacchanta hot springs, time permitting; these are ideal for relieving the fatigue of the hike. Afterwards, you will enjoy a typical lunch from the area before returning to Cusco, arriving around 6:00 PM.
