Itinerary Waqrapukara Trek & Inca Fortress Tour – Full Day from Cusco

Day 1Cusco - Waqrapukara

The day will begin with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco around 4:00 a.m. We'll then embark on a journey south to the town of Cusipata, a drive of approximately 1.5 hours, where we'll enjoy an Andean breakfast. Afterward, we'll continue for another 2 hours to the starting point of the hike, Punta Carretera.

The hike will last between 1.5 and 2 hours and will take you through breathtaking landscapes: mountains, deep valleys, rock formations, and Andean flora. Upon arriving at Waqrapukara, you'll be greeted by its imposing stone structures built on the edge of the abyss, offering panoramic views that will leave you speechless.
Our guide will explain the history of the site, its ceremonial importance, and its connection to the worship of the Apus (mountain spirits). Afterward, you'll have time to explore and take photos before beginning the return journey.

At the end of the hike, we will board our transport to return to the town of Cusipata where we will enjoy a buffet lunch, before returning to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:30 p.m.
