The 360° Machu Picchu Train is a great mid-range option for traveling to Machu Picchu. The service features comfortable, wide seats and tall panoramic windows to maximize the range of vision. An onboard audio guide in the form of an app shares information along the route.
During the trip, passengers are provided with locally sourced snacks and non-alcoholic beverages of their choice while you sit back and enjoy your ride. This train features a beautiful observation car, so you can soak up as much of the natural scenery surrounding this train ride as you can.
With room for 240 passengers, the 360° Machu Picchu has 6 cars that allow passengers to walk between them to reach the observation car. The latter has a self-service bar that has additional food and drink options (not included in the price).

This tour starts at dawn, approximately at 5:20 am we will transfer you from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco to the train station in Ollantaytambo. The trip will be approximately 1 hour and a half in our private transportation. Upon arriving at the town of Ollantaytambo we will head to the train station, where we will board our train. This is where our train adventure will begin. We will leave from the Ollantaytambo station to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town) around 7:20 hrs on the The 360° Inka Rail panoramic train on Inca Rail frequency 61. We will enjoy for 1 hour and a half the impressive natural views that are the best start to the tour!
Once we arrive at Machu Picchu Pueblo, our staff will be waiting for you (guide). After meeting our guide, we will head to the bus station to take the bus that will take us to the wonder of the world: Approximately 30 minutes later, we will arrive at the entrance of Machu Picchu accompanied by our guide. Afterwards, our guide will give recommendations so that your visit is as satisfactory as possible.
We will enter Machu Picchu and begin the visit around 10:40 am and it will last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Enjoy the best part of the tour and discover the secret legends that our guide will reveal to you along the way exploring the enigmatic constructions of the Inca culture! At the end of our visit to the Inca citadel, we will head to the exit and head to the bus stop. Our staff will guide you to the bus stop around 1:10 pm. Depending on the number of people, there will be a waiting time (15-25 min) in the bus line. Afterwards, once settled on the bus, the trip to Machu Picchu town will be 30 minutes, arriving at approximately 2:00 pm.
Free time: There will be 1 hour and a half for you to taste the best of the local cuisine at lunch (not included) and explore Machu Picchu town. We recommend that you begin your transfer to the train station in Machu Picchu town at 3:45 pm
since your train will depart at 4:10 pm on the 360° panoramic train to Ollantaytambo, arriving at approximately 5:50 pm From this point, we will take care of returning you to your hotel in the city of Cusco in our private transportation, thus ending the tour and finishing this unforgettable adventure.

Hiking to the Sun Gate and Inca Bridge is available since JUNE 1st, 2024 and the price for any of these option will be $55 USD per person.
Hiking Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mt. is also not possible due to the time restraints of the one-day tour.

If you wish, we can pick you up from the airport to give you a warm welcome to the city of Cusco and transfer you to your hotel, so you must inform us of your flight details at least 14 days before your trip. We would appreciate it if you pay in cash at our office (we accept US dollars or Peruvian soles) during your briefing 2 or 4 days before your trip. We have many ATMs in downtown Cusco. You can also pay with VISA or PAYPAL online, but you will have to pay a 5.5% service charge, charged by VISA and PAYPAL. To pay your balance via PAYPAL, you must log in to your PAYPAL account using our email address of metaperutravel@gmail.com.

¡Yes! You must bring your original passport and it is very important that it has the same passport number that you sent us to book your permit for the Machu Picchu Tour or package. Your passport will be checked when you enter Machu Picchu and when you board the train. In case you are renewing your passport, please send us a copy of your old passport to secure your permission and be able to change it when you get your new passport. If so, please send us a copy of your new passport as soon as possible.
DISCOUNTS
In the event that you are unable to finish the trek due to health reasons, our team will take you to the nearest town for assistance with transportation. We always carry oxygen on our treks for any respiratory issues. In extreme cases, we can arrange for a helicopter at your expense. (Travel insurance required, recommended). There are no refunds in the unlikely situation that you are unable to finish the trek.
Generally, those who need help getting off the trail are taken to Ollantaytambo and if they recover quickly they continue the journey to Aguas Calientes (cost incurred by the trekker) and visit Machu Picchu according to the original plan.
Unfortunately, the answer is No. Once the permits have been purchased, the Peruvian government does not allow any changes, so we cannot change any dates after the permit has been purchased. The permits are also non-transferable and non-refundable. If you cancel your Inca Trail to Machu Picchu 4 days, the deposit is not refundable at all.
Of course! Round-trip transfer to your hotel is included in all our packages! If you have booked your hotel in the Sacred Valley, we will drop you off there and vice versa.
If you are satisfied with the services provided, a tip is appreciated by our staff, although it is not mandatory. While it may not be a custom, it is of great importance to the people who will take care of you during the trek. It inspires excellent service and is an ingrained feature of the tourism industry in many META Peru destinations. Of course, you are free to tip as much as you like, depending on your perception of the quality and length of your trip. Remember, tipping is not mandatory and should only be given when you receive excellent service.
