In our 5 days and 4 nights package, you will discover why Peru has a beautiful Amazon jungle. On our tour we will visit Puerto Maldonado, Tambopata and finally the Macaw Clay Lick. This exciting adventure will allow you to explore one of the most biodiverse and amazing regions in the world, where you can connect with nature and witness spectacular jungle wildlife.
Our tour will go through the Amazon jungle of Tambopata, a jewel of biodiversity. Here, you’ll immerse yourself in dense tropical forests, navigate winding rivers, and explore hidden lagoons as you delve into a rich and mysterious ecosystem.
We will visit the Macaw Collpa: Your adventure will culminate at the Macaw Collpa, a place where these colorful birds gather in large numbers. You will witness a surprising natural spectacle as macaws and parrots arrive in search of essential minerals.
During your stay, you’ll enjoy exciting boat rides along jungle rivers, hikes along nature trails, and explorations of dense vegetation. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the traditions and culture of the local communities that inhabit this region.

Our first day we will leave Cusco very early in the morning in one of our vehicles, to head towards Puerto Maldonado and then transport us to the port of the Madre de Dios River, where our boat will take us upriver for an hour ride to (amazon garden lodge) A great welcome with a delicious typical fruit juice will await you upon your arrival at the lodge after which we will show you the facilities of our bungalows and then you can settle in your private rooms.
After a while, you will have a first walk in the jungle to observe some wildlife and nature, guided by qualified and experienced local guides who will take you through our trails and you can see some trees that may be more than five hundred years old, so you can see some animals such as toucans, orioles, trogons, macaws, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc. You will have the opportunity to experience the magic of our forest which is located next to the Tambopata National Reserve (278,000 hectares protected).
After lunch we will head to Monkey Island, located in front of our lodge on the other side of the Madre de Dios River and look for the family of Capuchin monkeys that live on this island, after that we will return to the Lodge.
In the afternoon we will go looking for white caimans, along the Madre de Dios River with flashlights and we can also see Capybaras the largest rodent in the world with a weight of up to 60 kilos, back to the lodge, dinner and overnight in our comfortable lodge.
Tambopata National Reserve – Sandoval Lake
After breakfast, we will walk for 3 km and head towards Sandoval Lake, board the canoes and appreciate many types of monkeys (howler monkey, squirrel monkey, brown capuchin, tamarinds) and different species of birds (cormorant Hoatzin Jacanas, tiger heron, vultures) and sloth bear. Maybe we will meet the family of giant otters (almost two meters long) which is in danger of extinction, we can see the largest alligators over 4 feet long recorded in the lake, finally we return to the lodge to enjoy a typical lunch and in the afternoon enjoy the extraordinary spectacle of the sunset over the Madre de Dios River. We will end the day with dinner and rest for the next day.
We will start at 5:30 a.m. in the morning with a short walk through the canopy, about 40 meters high, which allows us to have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River and allows us to observe different species of birds, such as toucans, trogons, macaws, tanagers, orioles, etc.
Then we prepare for a challenging activity on trees over 30 meters high, for this activity we will have an instructor guide who will give us a talk on how to use the safety harness for the zip line, feeling the adrenaline on the trees, Return to the lodge.
After breakfast we will return to the city and get on our 4X4 for lunch. After a break we will walk to visit the wild plank clay lick, finally we will have dinner and rest for the next day.
Early in the morning we will go to Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick. So we will see a great show of noisy parrots and macaws, who come to the clay lick to find minerals and salts with digestive properties in the clay wall, macaws and parrots such as the dark blue head, chirricles, Maracan, blue and yellow macaw, red and green macaw and the scarlet macaw. On our way back to our lodge we can see alligators, turtles and capybaras, jaguar, tapir along the Tambopata River. For this tour it is special to have the camera at hand so as not to miss anything. Arriving at the lodge we will have lunch and rest.
In the afternoon we fish for piranhas and other species of fish in the Tambopata River
At nightfall we will have a night walk, where you can see a variety of tarantulas, toads and frogs.
We will finish with dinner at the lodge and rest for the next day.
After breakfast, we will return to the city. Upon arrival in the city we will take you to the airport or bus station.

If you wish, we can pick you up from the airport to give you a warm welcome to the city of Cusco and transfer you to your hotel, so you must inform us of your flight details at least 14 days before your trip. We would appreciate it if you pay in cash at our office (we accept US dollars or Peruvian soles) during your briefing 2 or 4 days before your trip. We have many ATMs in downtown Cusco. You can also pay with VISA or PAYPAL online, but you will have to pay a 5.5% service charge, charged by VISA and PAYPAL. ¡Yes! You must bring your original passport and it is very important that it has the same passport number that you sent us to book your permit for the Machu Picchu Tour or package. Your passport will be checked when you enter Machu Picchu and when you board the train. In case you are renewing your passport, please send us a copy of your old passport to secure your permission and be able to change it when you get your new passport. If so, please send us a copy of your new passport as soon as possible.
DISCOUNTS
In the event that you are unable to finish the trek due to health reasons, our team will take you to the nearest town for assistance with transportation. We always carry oxygen on our treks for any respiratory issues. In extreme cases, we can arrange for a helicopter at your expense. (Travel insurance required, recommended). There are no refunds in the unlikely situation that you are unable to finish the trek.
Generally, those who need help getting off the trail are taken to Ollantaytambo and if they recover quickly they continue the journey to Aguas Calientes (cost incurred by the trekker) and visit Machu Picchu according to the original plan.
Unfortunately, the answer is No. Once the permits have been purchased, the Peruvian government does not allow any changes, so we cannot change any dates after the permit has been purchased. The permits are also non-transferable and non-refundable. If you cancel your Inca Trail to Machu Picchu 4 days, the deposit is not refundable at all.
Of course! Round-trip transfer to your hotel is included in all our packages! If you have booked your hotel in the Sacred Valley, we will drop you off there and vice versa.
If you are satisfied with the services provided, a tip is appreciated by our staff, although it is not mandatory. While it may not be a custom, it is of great importance to the people who will take care of you during the trek. Of course, you are free to tip as much as you like, depending on your perception of the quality and length of your trip. Remember, tipping is not mandatory and should only be given when you receive excellent service.
