After breakfast, we will depart toward the breathtaking Sacred Valley, one of Peru's most scenic and culturally rich regions. Temperatures become significantly warmer and the atmosphere becomes even more relaxed as one descends to 2800 meters. We’ll visit the Taray viewpoint on our way so as to enjoy panoramic views of the agricultural terraces and winding Urubamba River. The valley is extensive and snow-capped.
We proceed with our tour in Pisac, which boasts of an impressive archeological location as well as a bright artisan market. Ruins on top of the hills feature ritual temples, farm terraces and panoramic valley scenes. Then we head on to Urubamba where we have a fine buffet lunch with a view of Andes landscapes. We will get there in the afternoon to Ollantaytambo, which is one of the most maintained Inca towns in Peru.
