• “Profile of the Inca”, this face is a rock formation located on the top of a cliff approximately 90 meters high, it is the result of the formation of the mountain range and the wind erosion of the strong winds of the area. Depending on the angles of observation, it can be seen or contrasted with the face of a child, young person or adult. The Face or profile of the Inca is also called the Sentinel of Cerro Pinchango, which is the tutelary Apu of Palpa, because it is directed directly towards this imposing mountain, which has housed the different cultures settled in this valley such as: Paracas, Nasca, Huarí, Ica – Chincha and the Incas.
• Mirador de las Líneas de Nazca, the tower places you 13 meters above the ground, enough to get the basic outline of three of the Nazca figures. The photos will not be as impressive as those from the plane, but it is a much closer and more personal way to see the lines.
• Museo María Reiche, is the house where Dr. María Reiche Newman (German scientist) lived for many years. Today it is a museum where you can see personal objects, photos, maps, plans, educational models and more information about her studies of the Nazca lines up close. Her remains rest in peace here, as well as those of her sister Renata.
• Cantalloc Aqueduct, one of the most outstanding hydraulic engineering works in the world, built in the middle of the desert by the ancient Nazca culture. Of the 46 underground aqueducts found, 32 are still in operation today. Stone slabs and huarango trunks were used for its construction, where along the route you can see 35 “puquios”, which are spiral-shaped ventilation wells used for cleaning, conservation and water collection.
• Paredones Ruins, was an administrative control center between the coast and the mountains; place of residence of the representative of Cusco, built with Inca planning and technology.
