Verificada Highly Recommend Meta Peru When Planning a Trip to Peru We traveled three days with Meta Peru and everything was top class. We visited Sacsauaman, Qorikancha, Pisac, the Potato Park (a highlight for me), Maras, Moray, Ollantaytambo, and of course Machu Picchu. The person who made everything run smoothly and had an answer to all our questions was Christian, our guide. He was professional, while at the same time he made things fun. In addition, he was very responsive when we needed something. He is a real gem! We highly recommend Meta Peru if you're planning a trip to Peru.Publicado en TripadvisorVerificada Feel Like Family in Cusco – Ask for Cristian Cristian was truly one of the highlights of our 4-day stay in Cusco. We chose to acclimate in Cusco rather than transfer immediately to the Sacred Valley, and having him as our private guide for Cusco, the nearby archaeological sites, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu made all the difference. Everything was exceptionally well organized, from transportation and timing to accommodations and daily activities, so we were able to simply relax and enjoy the journey. Over our two and a half days with Cristian, we learned so much about the Incas and the history of Peru. He is genuinely passionate about sharing the culture, traditions, and beauty of his country, and he warmly referred to us as his “family,” which made the experience feel very personal and special. His deep knowledge, clear explanations, and ability to tailor the pace and content to our interests made every site visit more meaningful. For anyone planning a trip to Peru, we highly recommend Meta Peru and Cristian. I did the 4-day Salkantay trek, ending with a tour of Machu Picchu, and had an incredible time. I suffered from some altitude sickness on the first day and he made sure I was well taken care of, was constantly checking in, and offered alternatives (where possible) to make sure I was safe and comfortable. My husband and I had the pleasure of having Cristian for our guide for an afternoon seeing the sights around Cusco, a day of sacred valley tours, the short Inca trail and Machu Pichu. Throughout this trip we enjoyed learning about Peru and its history. Cristian was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer every question we had for him! He brought along a book to show us so many examples of what he was describing which was very helpful when you are dealing with ruins. During our hike, he was very encouraging and happy to let us take our breaks as needed (the first 2 hours were challenging as he had told us!). He showed us so many orchids and birds- we even got to see a toucan! At all the Incan sites, he explained various theories of what things were used for giving a lot of great detailed information. We came away with a really good understanding of the Incan culture. From beginning to end, Cristian did a wonderful job of communicating with us on pick up times, what our day would consist of and other directions and things to expect. He was always timely, easy to reach by WhatsApp and met or exceeded all of our expectations. He was a great photographer for us- taking so many good photos of my husband and I including coming up with the poses. 😄 At dinner one night, he requested a cake for our anniversary which occurred while on this trip. What a sweet guy!! It was definitely challenging at times, but every step was worth it for the incredible views and unforgettable scenery. Cristian was an amazing guide — knowledgeable, encouraging, and passionate about the history, culture, and wildlife along the trail. We learned so much while also having a genuinely fun experience with great company throughout the journey. If you’re considering the Short Inca Trail, I highly recommended! We spent 3 days with him, he was very attuned to our needs, how tired or energetic we felt etc and tailored the excursions accordingly. He was in constant communication with us before even arriving in Cusco, picked us up and was on hand for anything we needed. He even went out of his way to personally transport our luggage to separate accommodation while we were still in Macchu Picchu. We can’t recommend him enough. We thoroughly enjoyed all our days with him which included the Cusco city tour ( he is from here and has great insider knowledge) day trip to Pisac, Moray Maras and Ollantaytambo. Finally he accompanied us on the train, made sure we got to our accommodation safely and did an amazing sunrise tour of Macchu Picchu. He was very patient and encouraging when I was struggling in the middle section of the hike and even carried my bag for a bit. His love of Incan heritage was evident in our tour of the Machu Picchu site and enriched our experience of this magnificent place. Accommodations, meals and transportation all went smoothly.
