Being a socially responsible tour operator concerned about the environment. Our tree planting campaign raises awareness for local communities and city citizens of a latent problem of deforestation in the Andes Mountains is serious. Like every year, many mountain slopes are devoid of trees and that causes a great decrease in wildlife. Trees are a crucial part of the Andean environment due to their beauty, their ability to help the soil regenerate and oxygen, as well as become healthy forests for native wildlife to live in. Local livestock and the communities living near them are part of the deforestation problem.
META Peru Tours is raising awareness among local communities to teach them about the positive cycle of replenishment. We teach them that by replacing a new tree instead of a cut one, we create a solution to the problem of deforestation.
Benefits of the Tree Planting campaign:
Our purpose as a responsible tour operator is to promote the care and protection of tourist areas and thus share our love, respect and commitment to our communities and the environment, through our cleaning campaign to take care of our cultural heritage.
This campaign is carried out in a joint effort between visitors and Andean communities, since working together we can create a better world. Conducting these campaigns shows that people around the planet are willing humanitarians and have the same desire to help protect the things they love. That is our commitment to generate sustainable tourism.
This is a project that we carry out annually that benefits children from different Andean communities, we try to spread Christmas joy by bringing them gifts, toys and the traditional “Christmas Chocolatada” or a Christmas party with chocolate and PANETON or a Peruvian-style fruit cake. These foods are considered the top staples during Christmas across the country, which every kid loves
We are very happy to be able to share these moments of joy with the children of these communities due to their precarious living conditions and they are the ones who need a little festive cheer as most of them never had the opportunity to own a toy or even meet Santa Claus or “Santa Claus”. We are always accepting donations for this event or even volunteers who wish to participate in these social projects. In the META Peru Tours team, we expect anyone who is willing to participate or donate to our social projects and in this way help our social projects grow.
