Your journey begins in the early hours of the morning with a direct pickup from your hotel or designated meeting location in Lima. You will board our comfortable tourist transport to start the journey south along the Pan-American Highway toward the coastal desert.
Upon arriving in Nazca, you will head directly to the Maria Reiche Airfield for the highlight aerial experience. You will board a specialized scenic aircraft to soar above the vast desert pampas, looking down upon ancient geoglyphs including the Hummingbird, the Spider, the Condor, the Whale, and the Monkey. During the flight, your guide explains how these pre-Inca shapes were studied by archaeologist Maria Reiche, who viewed them as a massive astronomical calendar etched into the earth.
After landing, we continue along the route to enjoy a relaxing lunch break, savoring traditional cuisine from the Ica region at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we visit an artisanal winery to learn about traditional production methods and sample authentic Peruvian Pisco and regional wines.
In the afternoon, we head to the world-famous Huacachina Oasis, a natural desert lagoon surrounded by palm trees and high sand dunes fed by subterranean springs. After exploring the lagoon and capturing photos around the water's edge, we jump into off-road dune buggies for an adrenaline-filled ride across the massive sand dunes. You will also have the opportunity to try sandboarding down the slopes under the guidance of our team.
As the sun begins to set over the desert, we board our return transport back to Lima, wrapping up an action-packed day and dropping you off safely at your original pickup point.
